This new edition contains 480 pages. 78 works have been added and there are over 200 updated or revised entries. The main sources for new works are auction catalogues from American, English, French, Swiss and German auction houses. Picasso’s heirs are the primary consigners of newly catalogued works that are sold at auction. There are also drawings that Picasso drew spontaneously for friends, acquaintances and strangers. Some of these are drawn directly into books about the master, normally on half-titles or title pages. During this period the master created linoleum cuts, many of which he would rework as watercolors and drawings. This new edition provides new details from the Picasso Project catalogue of the linocuts, which was published in 2012. .
