Folio 19 x 13.25 inches. 48 x 33.5cm. 102, [2]pp. 48 aquatint plates, waxed tissue guards, occasional light foxing, rebound, later half morocco and marbled boards and matching endpapers. Printed by Thomas Bensley. 48 colour aquatint plates. Very good. Abbey, "Travel in Aquatint and Lithography, 1770-1860" no. 369, Vol. I with Plate nos. 2- 49. Plate 1 per Abbey is the portrait of Mayer, but it was not issued in this 2nd edition and the Catalogue of the Plates only lists the 48 plates that are present, Colas, 2018; Lipperheide, 1577 (1805 edition). .
