Built as the General Werder for Norddeutscher Lloyd by Caird & Co, Greenock, Scotland, 1874. Sold to the Albion Steamship Company of Newcastle, 1893, renamed Midnight Sun, for Norwegian cruises. Served as hospital ship in Boer War as Princess of Wales 1899-1901. Back in service as Midnight Sun 1901- 1912. Scrapped on the Tyne 1912. .
