A brochure with this title was created for the exhibition Man Ray: Objects of My Affection at Julien Levy Gallery, New York, in April 1945. Designed by Marcel Duchamp, the cover features an image of a kissing couple based on a photograph by filmmaker Alexandr Hackenschmied (Alexander Hammid) that was photomechanically transformed into an array of blue and white dots. It also includes a list of works with explanatory annotations; a checklist of paintings, watercolors, rayographs, and drawings; and a statement by Man Ray in which he declares, “It has never been my object to record my dreams—just the determination to realize them.”. .
