Funke, 1863-1866. 48 (of 50) handcolored lithographic plates of kingfishers (16), pittas (6), and falconidae (28), loosely inserted in a folio sized album inserted in clear sleeves .Sheets measure 32.2 x 24cm... Also included are manuscript descriptions of all the plates... Some edges slightly frayed, some slightly foxed. but not affecting images.. A work on the birds of the Dutch East Indies, including descriptions of several species not previously recorded. "The plates.. have the figures in miniature but are of high quality" (Zimmer).
