The album was compiled in Iran in the middle the 18th century and acquired in 1921 from the Russian Museum to which it had been given in 1910 as a personal gift of Emperor Nikolai II. It contains reproductions of the works of the miniature painters and calligraphers Abu-I-Hasan Nadir az-Zaman, Ali-Quli-Bek Jabbadar, Bayak, Govardhan, Gul-Muhammad Haddji Muhammad, Manohar Das, Mansur, Mir Kalam, Muhammad-Baqir, Muhammad-Hadi, Muhammad-Riza-yi Hindi, Muhammad-Sadiq, Muhammad Sultani, Muhammad-Zaman, Nanha, Vishnu Das, Mir Imad al-Hasani. Book is very good in wraps, plates are very good, and folding slipcase is good, with some wear and splitting along folds; a small call number sticker on top of the slip case suggests this copy is ex-library, but there are no other markings. Heavy book, requires additional shipping charges. .
