Documentary work, focusing on the conflicts of Northern Ireland. Yet here we do not see the brutal crime, but the indirect, suggestive traces of violence. An approach that Seawright also uses in his later work on Afghanistan and Africa and makes him one of the most relevant photographers of his generation, not least because of his nuanced point of view on the current significance of documentary photography.
