Book, xviii, 265 pages, small piece of leather missing at bottom of spine / corner of front cover, otherwise a nice copy. As a youth O'Connell found his way to Australia where he had contacts with convicts and aborigines. He was later cast away in the north of the continent, and in a subsequent voyage he was shipwrecked in the Caroline Islands, where he lived for five years with the natives. Otherwise clean and sound in original calf with spine label. Chip missing from bottom of backstrip. Good.
