Book, no date, ca. 1860. viii, 280 pages, coloured frontispiece and title page (illuminated by Samuel Stanesby), 8 b/w plates. All edges gilt, old date and name on contents page, hinges a little weak, spine ends rubbed, cloth at top of spine wrinkled, spine and top of front cover faded, title page and frontispiece have absorbed some moisture at some stage. Despite these faults a desirable copy as the frontispiece has an actual, small photograph of Charles Dickens pasted on it. The photograph is faded but recognizable. Good.
