A vivid and truthful description of the life of a Union volunteer in all its different phases, on the battlefield, in the prison den, at the picket line, and in the camp and bivouac. In fact a recital of possibly as varied and thrilling events as were known during all the wild vicissitudes of that terrible four years of internecine strife.'. Good.
