Thomas Frognall Dibdin (1776-1847) was an English bibliographer and the founder of the first English private publishing society. He took holy orders in 1805 and published an extensive range of bibliographical books, many with factual errors and lively anecdotes throughout. He coined the term bibliomania and sparked much interest in book collecting and old and rare books.
