Paris, Librairie Hachette, 1904. Not in Hocken but described by Library of New Zealand but with only 132 pages. This copy much expanded. The author was French Consul to New Zealand and describes facets of life including mining, travel, discovery, natural history, colonization, industrial, economic and social conditions. Illustrations include Rotarua, Wanganui, Auckland, Fjords, Milford Sound, Maori, Melbourne Collins Street, Tekooti and ceremonial dress and spear, Wellington, a Moa skeleton, a statistic chart showing population imports, exports, acres cultivated, produce, sheep, in 1890 and 1900 and much more.
