Edward Griffith (1819 - 1891) born in Bath, Somersetshire, England. Invited to Australia by the Colonial Missionary Society. Griffith arrived in Australia on the Nile in 1854 with his wife Mary and their five children, he became the pastor of Wharf Congregational Church, one of his children Samuel Walker Griffith (born in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire, Wales) - later Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, became Attorney General, Chief Justice and Premier of Queensland. The book includes a biography and tributes to Griffith and has a selection of his sermons and addresses.
