Description: First Editions; Demy 8vo; pp. over 11,000 pages in total; each volume bound in green cloth, titles lettered in gilt on spines, very good copies. Melbourne; The Field Naturalist Club of Victoria: 1884-1926. The magazine has been published continuously since 1884, publishes a mixture of scientific Research Reports, Contributions, naturalist Notes, etc. The journal was original published monthly, volume one ran for thirteen parts Jan 1884 - April 1885, from then each volume had 12 parts running May - April, up until 1976 when it became a bimonthly. The early volumes of this magazine have become extremely scarce.
