Enquire into Leases to Buchan, Ducan and others of auriferous lands at Brown's (including Smythe's Creek, North Briton and Contest Leads) with a view of ascertaining whether the granting of such leases interfered with the existing rights of certain miners. The Committee included Peter Lalor, a leader at the Eureka stockade.
