"Trolley-Wire" started life as the members' journal of the South Pacific Electric Railway but over time has morphed into a journal for Australian tramway museum coverage. The first issue came out in February 1952 from humble beginnings as bi-monthly three page publication produced by spirit duplication process with no illustrations the journal has grown and prospered. Today the magazine is published quarterly and reports on museums in all states and the ACT, with occasional articles on overseas topics and is illustrated with numerous photographs many in full colour.
