London; Longmans, Green, and Co.; 1896-1899. Charles Cavendish Fulke Greville (1794-1865) was one of Englands greatest diarists. These Journals were first published as instructed by him ten years after his death. They first appeared in eight volumes between 1874 and 1887 and have become an important historical source for this period. The new impression being offer here is unaltered in any respect from the original, but sheets have been carefully revised, the errors which occurred in the earlier editions have been as far as possible, corrected, and some additional notes have been introduced.
