The Railway News commenced as a weekly single-sided stencilled Bulletin for the Canterbury Club, being sold for the princely sum of one penny. it circulated amongst the other Clubs as they were formed changing its name to The Railway News in August 1959. initially, each term represented a Volume. Weekly publications became monthly in January 1959. The present off-set printed format commenced with the September 1963 issued and continues to sell extremely well through the ARHSnsw Bookshop.
