Sydney Leon "Syd" Miller 1901-1983, was an Australian comic book writer, artist and illustrator, he contributed to many periodicals, including the Bulletin, Aussie and Smith's Weekly. His comic strip Animalaughs appeared throughout Australia as well as being syndicated in a number of other countries. He carried over the comic theme into the bookplates he designed. Adrian Feint 1894 - 1971 was an Australian artist he worked in various media but is noted for his bookplate designs. he was co-director and manager of Grosvenor Gallery, Sydney from 1924-28 Exhibitors included Thea Proctor, Elioth Gruner, Margaret Preston and George Lambert, he was assistant editor of Art in Australia 1928-40.
