This is a Good Copy of this book neatly rebound in brown cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine.Originally introduced to readers in 1880 as a handbook for Tourists this edition was expanded to illustrate and describe the beautiful spots which the completion of line from Hellifield to Gisburn had opened out to the new class of tourists and the populated towns of East Lancashire.Illustrated with sketches from nature by Chas Haworth of Blackburn of more than 30 in total.There are some btrowning spots noted within the text and some scorching to several pages of text at the end of the book,no doubt down to the discarding of fag ash by a former reader.No loose pages are present,blue endpapers.A rare title on the Ribble Valley,little has really changed over the last 140 years,8vo 140pp plus 7 pages of local Business adverts to the rear of the book.1881. Good .
