This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher's oatmeal coloured cloth with gilt title lettering to spine and upper cover in a Good Dust-Jacket which is rather worn and rubbed to extremities with chips to the head and tail of spine and also some small loss present to the corners of the d/j.Not price clipped and this copy has No previous names or inscriptions present.This copy has a firm binding with no hinge weakness and with no leaning to spine.Illustrated with a total of 116 full plates in black and white of the work of this Sculptor born in Slavonia.He was said to have been possibly one of the greatest sculptors of religious subject matter since the renaissance and was the first person to have a one man show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.This copy has a Signed gift inscription by his second wife Olga Kestercanek underneath the b&w frontispiece and is dated 23rd December 1933 Zagreb.Mestrovic has contributed by way of a preface 6 pages which are loosely laid in at the front of the book.The d/j comes well protected in a removable cover sleeve.Scarce title 4to First Edition Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Very Good .
