This is a Very Good Copy of this Book in a light maroon ribbed type cloth with no gilt title lettering to boards.Small 12mo measuring 14cm by 9cm with three engraved plates including one entitled ''The Arab With His Falcon''.This book has bound along with three further stories delected from early lessons by Maria Edgworth called '' The Little Dog Trusty'' ''The Cherry Orchard'' and ''The Orange Man'' for the use of Village Schools these three stories have a seperate title page dated 1843 with one neat owner's inscription to the top edge of the Title Page and run to a total of 61pp with Lucy or The Little Inquirer complete with 71pp.This is a charming little book of early children's stories in very good condition with only a few odd foxing spots to pages.Binding remains firm with no loose leaves etc.Likely First Edition 1815. Very Good .
