The book recounts a three-week journey through southern Turkey in 1973, shared by Paul Roche and the 88-year-old artist Duncan Grant. Though Grant was in fragile health, Roche convinced him to take part in the trip—a journey marked by shared moments. Roche was not only Grant’s companion and later caregiver, but also his model from earlier in their long friendship.
