Description: Montreal, Editions Erta, 1954. 1st Edition. Soft cover. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Signed by Author. An Excellent Association Copy. First Edition Inscribed and dated on the half title by Gigučre in the year of publication to his close friend, Ivar Labrie who along with Gigučre, Gilles Robert and Conrad Tremblay were in fact the founding pressmen, typesetters and designers for the press. From 1949 through 1960, 29 ERTA titles were published. This creative period in breakthrough French Montreal / Quebec poetry and experimental graphics publishing corresponded perfectly with the very explosive efforts of English Montreal's Contact Press. A fine example [minor rubs to the extremities of the spine] in the publisher's pictorial stiff wrappers featuring an original serigraph by Albert Dumouchel. 12mo. 30 pp. BNQ 12. An exceptionally important copy. .
