A five volume set (plus a sixth volume as a subscription sample) published by Lidis, in-4 (28cm x 22cm), numbered 4829 of 5000 on Vercors vellum (Vercors series running from # 1001 to #5000) comprising novels and short stories in French including; La Nausee (Nausea) 231pp, Le Mur (The Wall) 210pp, L'Age de Raison (The Age of Reason) 383 ppp, Le Sursis (The Reprieve) 438pp, and La Morte dans l'Ame (Troubled Sleep) 369pp. The sixth small volume is a demonstration edition for subscription purposes. These six volumes, over one thousand six-hundred pages in total, are liberally sprinkled with sixty-four single and double-sided colour lithographs by Walter Spitzer. All volumes are in very good condition and protected with mylar. They show some very slight yellowing around the edges and volume 2 has a small stain on the bottom front cover. The six volumes are housed in two large, unique slipcases. A splendid edition with exquisite reproduction by l'Imprimerie Nationale and l'Imprimerie Mourlot (lithographs) for the admirer's of Sartre's fiction and Existentialism. .
