Description: 1890 / 1901 Two works bound in one. 107, 322 p., text figures, 13 plates, later cloth, spine with red morocco label with gilt title. Marbled endpapers. The first work, by Azam, is presented as a systematic key. The second paper, by Finot, contains a bibliography, detailed descriptions, all the lithographed plates, and a chapter on "Chasse & préparation des orthoptères" with steel engravings of instruments useful in collecting and preserving the specimens. Included in the rear is a third paper, jointly by Azam and Finot, titled "Catalogue des insectes orthoptères observés jusqu'a ce jour dans les départements du Var et des Alpes-Maritimes" (1888). This is signed by Azam on the title page. It was probably privately published too. In all a good, clean set of important papers in a very good binding.
