But, as the writer put it "It is perhaps unfortunate that this volume should be entitled 'British Water Beetles', since it contains many facts which will be useful to theoretical biologist even if such biologists do not agree with my interpretations of these facts". Stamp on front pastedown, otherwise a very good clean copy.
