Ways of Worldmaking, is an exhibition curated by Janet Bellotto and Karen Oremus, both professors at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates. The exhibitions, held throughout various sites in Venice, will highlight works being developed by emerging female artists and designers, both students and graduates of the university. The exhibition will have its official opening at Palazzina 11, island of San Servolo, Venice, on June 5, 2009 at 11am, in conjunction with the Venice Biennial. Other exhibition venues include La Colomba, an infamous Italian restaurant located near the Saint Marco square, where artists like Picasso and Chagall traded their art for meals, various performances will take place on gondolas through the Venice waterways, and 3D gallery, Mestre, Venice, where the exhibition from San Servolo will rotate until November 2009.
