Description: Calcutta: Firma KLM Private LTD, 1981.. Revised and Enlarged by A.K. Bhattacharya. Fourth revised ed. 123 p., ills SOFTCOVER: (Original paperback, litlle traces of use. VERY GOOD) ¶ VERY RARE AND SOUGHT AFTERIn India at least, people do believe in the concept of wearing gemstones as a means to altering destiny. However, there is a lot of misconception surrounding this concept, as people think that these gemstones will act as some magical pills that can change their lives for the better. It is a wide - known fact that these gemstones are worn for more than just decorative purposes. Science has in fact shown that these precious stones emanate what are called as cosmic radiations or rays that correspond to the rays that are emanated by different planets. This cosmic energy released by planets is reflected and can be absorbed by the human body if they wear a corresponding gemstone. and through these, the planetary bodies can cause varying effects on human beings. This science of using cosmic rays to alter a man's life and health is termed as cosmic ray therapy and it is this science that has been dealt in the book Science of Cosmic Ray Therapy (1957) by Benoytosh Bhattacharyya. Speaking of cosmic ray therapy as an alternative medical treatment that employs the cosmic rays emanating from various precious stones, the author begins the read by discussing the birth of this alternative way to medical treatment. He then goes on to explain various related topics such as the value of the prism in cosmic ray therapy, the five great elements of nature, the relation between space and the cosmic rays and the seven principal cosmic rays. The author next expounds on the condensation of these cosmic rays in gemstones and how they become useful to man in relation to various health conditions.
