Interior AS NEW ) ¶ Very rare this excellent dictionary of the Ipurina is an Arawakan language spoken in Brazil. Jacob Evert Resyek Polak (1855-1933) originally came from Paramaribo in Dutch Guiana and served as a missionary among the Brazilian tribes of the Amazon basin. 'Having lived two years constantly among and with them, quite 2,000 miles from the sea-coast, and in the interior of South America, and for fully six years in various parts of the Amazon valley, I have much time to observe them and their manners.'
