There is a disctribution map for ecery species in the book (except the Swamp Cat). Every species is accurately and beautifully full illustrated - six in line drawings, all others in colour plates. These have been done scpeially for the book by Pierre Dandelot and use the famous Peterson identification sysments, with bars to indicate important characters and explanatory notes opposite each plate. These descriptions, maps and coloured paintings will together make identification - in the zoo or in the wild - quick and easy.
