Contemporary blind-tooled pigskin binding on wood with clasps, engraved title-page + 6 nn pp. + 1055+1p. with printersmark of Plantin + 30 pp. (Oratio Manassae) with tail-piece + 20 nn pp. (Hieronymi Prologus) with vignette + 32 nn pp. index + (2) with printersmark of Plantin. Ca. 25 x 19 cm.Printed in two columns. Endpapers and binding somewhat discoloured and with some worm-holes; top of spine damaged; title-page a bit stained; some pages along margins a little waterstained and a bit damaged. A very good copy of an item that has been used so long and intensive. (The 'Vulgatae' was the official Latin text of the Catholic Church.)
