This is the new and enlarged second edition of a famous work by the Göttingen fencing master A. Fr. Kahn (1713- 1797). "Son traité en effet fit époque pendant longtemps servit de loi" (Gelli). Kahn was one of the most prominent instructors of the time and is important in the history of academic fencing. The illustrations of fencing positions which show excellent examples of the costumes of the period.
