Uniform republisher's cloth with gilt title on the spines. = A massive, fundamental monograph on jellyfish with fine illustrations in the text showing taxonomically and systematically important characters, and very nice full colour plates of living animals (and a few photographs). Mayer later changed his name in Mayor. The original publication, published in three parts, instead of two, is rare outside institute libraries. A very good, clean copy in near mint condition.
