Disbound, original green cloth boards and spine with gilt title present. = A fine monograph by the British naval surgeon, palaeontologist, mammalogist, and invertebrate zoologist (in particular Bryozoa and Tunicata) George Busk (1807-1886). Published in the famous series, The zoology of the Challenger Expedition, as volume XXX, part I. It is also part I of the Polyzoa, dealing with the Cheilostomata, i,e., the Bryozoa, for which it is complete - the second part deals with Tunicata. Contains descriptions of new species. Disbound from a larger volume with monographs on unrelated groups but bookblock binding largely intact; some light spotting to a few leaves, otherwise a good, clean copy.
