Original printed wrappers. = A rarely seen monograph, dealing with the highly diverse Mesozoic members of the bivalve family Trigoniidae, and based on well-preserved specimens. The author, the British palaeontologist Finlay Lorimer Kitchin (1870-1934), was specialized in Mesozoic bivalves. The descriptions are extremely detailed; the majority of the species described are new. Published as Memoirs of the Geological Survey of India. Palaeontologia Indica, being Figures and Descriptions of the Organic Remains Procured During the Progress of the Geological Survey of India. Uncut. Cancelled stamp on front wrapper, otherwise very good. Not in Nissen.
