Contemporary blue, patterned cloth with silver title on the spine. Original printed wrappers bound in. = A well-illustrated monograph. Apparently all that was published. A rare, neatly bound copy without any markings. The author, the British botanist Victor Samuel Summerhayes (189-1974) was "in charge of the orchid herbarium at Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew for 39 years" (Wikipedia). Certainly rare in this superior state.
