Original uniform printed wrappers. = A well-illustrated work, with new species, and based on well-preserved material. Written by the Russian palaeontologist Maria Vasilievna Pavlova (1854-1938). The plates are quite large, showing skulls, etc. Uncut. The work includes a dedication page to the late French palaeontologist Jean Albert Gaudry (1827-1908). The second paper includes a corrected title page for the first paper, along with a general title for the academy's Nouveaux Mémoires, in which both papers were published. Uncut. Weak stamp on front wrappers and title page top margins. Wrappers on thin paper, and (as usual with uncut wrappers), therefore, detached, edges chipped; otherwise very good; the main text and plates clean.
