Original uniform printed wrappers. = Rare and important monograph of the Mediterranean shrimps by the Italian zoologist and crustacean specialist Antonio della Valle (1850-1935). It forms the complete 20th monograph in the series Fauna und Flora des Golfes von Neapel und der angrenzenden Meeres-Abschnitte herausgegeben von der zoologischen Station zu Neapel. The species covered show a wide variaty in shape and colout. New genus and species level taxa are included. Uncut. Due to the heavy book blocks the bindings are broken and the spine covers mostly perished. Wrappers much chipped at edges, and with a few old repairs. Text and plates in a better condition; only some scattered, mostly marginal foxing and a small dampstain at the bottom edge of the first few leaves of the text volume. A few plates toned. Nevertheless still a good, complete copy. Nissen ZBI, 4632.
