Uniform original printed wrappers. = George Ossian Sars (1837-1927) was the father of modern crustacean research. He described the Nordic fauna in 11 parts (not completed at his death), of which this is the third part and the only one devoted to the Cumacea, or hooded shrimps. It was published in five instalments, each containing two "parts". Several new species are described in this work. The plates, by the author, are very clear. Uncut. therefore, wrappers a bit chipped at edges; otherwise a very good, complete and clean set. Rare in this original state. Nissen ZBI, 3572 [pars].
