Uniform original printed wrappers. = George Ossian Sars (1837-1927) was the father of modern crustacean research. He described the Nordic fauna in 11 parts (not completed at his death), of which this is the second part and the only one devoted to the Isopoda. It was published in seven instalments, each containing two "parts". Several new species are described in this work. The plates, by the author, are very clear. First front wrapper and last (blank) rear wrapper chipped, a few wrappers split at spine fold; otherwise a very good, complete and clean set. Rare in this original state. Nissen ZBI, 3572 [pars].
