Blind, pebbled burgundy half morocco over mottled boards. Mottled endpapers. = A well-illustrated work on mostly tropical West African hermit crabs by the leading 20th-century French crustaceologist, Jacques Forest (1920-2012). The gastropod shells, in which the specimens were found are listed, but generally to genus level only. Several species are new. Nearly all the material discussed was dredged by the research vessel "Mercator". Published as fascicule 4 of volume III of this scientific expedition's results. All parts are rare.
