Spine with five raised bands and gilt title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. = A well-illustrated work, usually found in wrappers. This however, being a very attractively bound copy. If interested in beautiful bindings and/or goats, this is a must. Written by the French agriculturist Joseph Crépin (1849-1943), not to be confused with his contemporary, the French painter, plumber and jazz musician Joseph Crépin (1875-1948). Bookplate of A. Jouffray "A l'aventure" mounted on front pastedown. Save for a few light spots on the first and last few leaves internally clean and fresh. A very good copy.
