Two parts in two. 4to (30.0 x 25.2 cm). 919 pp. [viii, 598; 313]; 15 heleotype plates (one double-sized) and three, large, folded, coloured distribution maps. Uniform blue boards. = A fine monograph by the German botanist [Ludwig Eduard] Theodor Loesener (1865-1941), with beautiful illustrations by his wife [Sophie] Elizabeth Loesener - Godeffroy (1870-1921), granddaughter of the Hamburger South Seas trader and founder of the Museum Godeffroy, Johan Cesar VI (1813-1885). Published in the academy's Nova Acta. The plates are in part I, the maps in part II. First volume uncut, and hence a bit larger. A very good, complete set.
