The taxidermy-part runs to p. 98, covering only a quarter of the whole work. this work forms a part of Lardner's Cabinet Cyclopaedia, largely written by the British-Australian zoologist William Swainson (1789-1855). Provenance: stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020) in the top margin of the front free endpaper and title. Top edge of spine slightly frayed Some light spotting on the title. Otherwise, a very good copy.
