H. Foord, from the German original which was published in 1896 in the Denkschriften of the kaiserliche Akademie der Wissenschaften in Vienna. Inscribed by the author on the front wrapper. Small stamp of Geological Society of London on the front wrapper and plate versos (not shining through). Spine cover chipped and partly detached, otherwise good, with fine, clean plates.
