Description: New York, NY, The American Museum of Natural History, 1952-2000. In 35 volumes. Volumes 1-31 bound in original ringbinders, with gilt title on the spines. = This seldom-seen series started in 1952 and the projected 20 volumes (all present here) were concluded in 1964. From 1964 onwards, supplementary volumes were published, starting with a supplementary volume 1, but the original series numbers were retained too, so supplementary volume 1 is also volume 21 of the whole series. This set runs to volume 31, which is supplementary volume 11. In 2005 the Catalogues exceed 200 loose-leaf binders, leading to the decision to shift to online publication with printed pages as an option. Our set includes the supplement volumes 25 "for 1979" (= whole series vol. 45; published 1981) and 26 "for 1980" (= whole series vol. 46; published 1982). The "Supplement" numbering was later dropped, reverting to the original series numbering, and of these we also have the much later numbers 64 (for 1998; published 1999) and 65 (for 1999; published 2000), for a total of 35 volumes, including the complete original series. One volume (30) placed upside down in its binder; a few volumes (5, and 14) with stamp on titles, but the vast majority clean and in near mint condition.
