Floral-patterned endpapers. = The rare expanded second edition of a work first published in 1866 with 42 text pages and only 14 plates. Johann Georg Ritter von Schoen, or Schön, (1838-1914) was an Austrian civil engineer and university professor. He was rector of the technical universities in Vienna and Brno. Stamps on first title and top margin of the contents page. Plates 25 and 29 detached, but easily repaired, and in all other aspects a very good, clean copy.
