Original uniform printed softcovers in black and red. = A beautifully illustrated work with an emphasis on the rich bird fauna of one of the largest swamps in Europe, at the border of the Mediterranean, below Arles (of Vincent van Gogh fame), west of Marseilles. The painter, Joseph Marie Oberthur (1872-1956) was renowned for his animal - in particular game - illustrations and hunting histories. This is the Second edition, published in the same year as the first. Uncut. Weak fold in the first volume front cover; otherwise an excellent, clean set.
