This is entirely the work of the German palaeontologist and malacologist Ernst [Hermann Friedrich] Koken (1860-1912). In 1925, a second edition, largely by the Czech palaeontologist Jaroslav Perner 91869-1947), was published, but this is the rare original. Published in the academy's Bulletin, vol. VIII; the whole volume, with unrelated papers. Spine cover partly perished; vague stamp on title to the volume; the Koken paper entirely clean, very good.
